Griggs Named NFCA East Third Team All-Region

PITTSBURGH – Outfielder Kylie Griggs was named NFCA East Third Team All-Region, as announced by the organization Thursday afternoon.
The graduate student started in each of the 52 games this season and led the Panthers in hits (47), runs scored (34), doubles (14), slugging percentage (.526), and on-base percentage (.415) while being second on the team in batting average (.305) and stolen bases (10). The lead off hitter reached base in 17 consecutive games from March 28-April 26, batting .481 (25-for-52) with eight doubles, four home runs, and nine walks and 15 runs scored in that span.
The All-Region award honors softball student-athletes from the NFCA's 10 regions with first, second and third-team selections. NFCA member head coaches from each respective region nominated student-athletes (eight maximum) and voted for the teams. All awarded student-athletes now become eligible for the 2025 NFCA Division I All-America squads.
