
Panthers Produce Four Top 10 Finishes, Kiser Records Top 10 Program Time at Bison Outdoor Classic

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Highlighted by Camy Kiser's top ten program time in the 1500-meter race and four top ten finishes at the Bison Outdoor Classic, Pitt distance produced a strong showing this weekend.
To begin the meet for the Panthers, Zoe Simpson won her heat of the 800-meter race, finishing in 2:22.11, which is a new personal best.
In the women's 1500-meter event, Natalie Koncoski finished in the top ten with a speed of 4:45.16. Elizabeth Hunkele, Mia Ingalls and Ava Pultortak recorded times of 4:48.77, 4:52.37 and 4:53.93, respectively. All four Panthers competing in the event notched a personal best.
Gianna Cagliola placed 15th in the women's 3k steeplechase, crossing the finish line in 11:03.24.
Later that evening, eight Panthers took part in the women's 1500-meter invite section. The group was led by Camy Kiser, as the sophomore finished ninth and collected a personal best and the eighth best time in women's program history; 4:27.88. Freshman Sienna Miller, competing in her first outdoor 1500-meter race, followed in 13th with a 4:29.24 time. Ellen Baker collected 25th place with a personal best of her own, 4:33.14. Sophie Mullins and Sarah Hurst registered personal bests as well, as they stopped the clock in 4:39.93 and 4:42.75.
On the men's side of the 1500-meter invite Finn Walsh and Luke Simpson finished back-to-back in second and third with times of 3:46.20 and 3:46.36. Quintin Gatons followed in seventh place with a 3:50.36 personal best as he was the first runner in his heat to finish. Ethan Fingerhut was 26th in 3:53.22. Thomas McMahon raced in his first 1500-meter race as a collegiate athlete, securing a time of 3:55.04. Classmate Nick Steinfeldt earned a personal best 3:55.79.
Christina Elliott was the lone Panther to compete in the women's 5k invite, achieving a personal best 17:34.54. Cole Casadei and Ethan Feinstein competed in the men's 5k invite section, with Casadei garnering 26th place with a pace of 14:37.51. In his first 5k race, Feinstein finished in 14:44.25.
