CHARLOTTE – Following a historic 2024-25 regular season campaign, graduate center Khadija Faye garnered All-ACC First Team accolades, as announced by the league office Tuesday evening.
With the honor, Faye became just the third Panther in program history to collect All-ACC First Team honors – joining Liatu King (2024) and Brianna Kiesel (2015). Additionally, Faye is just the ninth Panther to grab first team all-conference honors, as six individuals (Jennifer Bruce, Jonna Huemrich, Lorri Johnson, Pam Miklasevich, Marcedes Walker and Shavonte Zellous) previously earned First Team All-Big East accolades.
Faye, a native of Dakar, Senegal, has enjoyed a stellar 2024-25 campaign – leading the ACC in double-doubles (16), while being the first ACC player since Dolores Bootz (Georgia Tech) in 1987-88 to average at least 19.2 PPG, 10.2 RPG and 2.5 BPG.
In her lone season under head coach Tory Verdi, Faye's numbers have seen drastic increases:
- Faye: +13.7 ppg, +6.7 rpg, +1.1 apg, +1.7 bpg
Of note, Faye has scored 20+ points on 17 occasions – including seven-straight games to conclude the 2024-25 regular season.
