2025 Home Promotional Schedule Announced

PITTSBURGH – Pitt softball announced its promotional dates and themes for home games during the 2025 season. The season will include new promotions such as Kid PA Announcers and Run the Bases Fridays with Bark in the Park returning to Vartabedian Field on May 2.
The Panthers are set to host Georgia Tech for their home opener with a three-game series, beginning Friday, March 21 at 6 p.m. Early arriving fans will receive a 2025 Pitt Softball poster and are invited to stay after the game to run the bases.
The home schedule will be packed with themes and giveaways to fans. Fan giveaways and themed games will feature:
- Friday, April 11 vs. Duke – Pitt Disney-themed t-shirt giveaway
- Thursday, April 17 vs. Virginia Tech – 7 Innings of Winnings
- Friday, April 18 vs. Virginia Tech – Pitt Softball camo visor giveaway
- Saturday, April 19 vs. Virginia Tech – In-venue Easter egg hunt
- Friday, May 2 vs. Louisville – Pitt collapsible dog bowl giveaway
- Saturday, May 3 vs. Louisville – Pitt softball Kentucky Derby hat giveaway
Season long promotions will include:
- Youth Team Recognition – Local youth softball teams are Invited to every game to receive in-game shout outs and participate in gameday activations. If you would like to reserve admission for a group of 15+, please contact Aaron Fordyce (Director of Marketing) via afordyce@athletics.pitt.edu with your desired game(s), group name, and estimated number of attendees with your group.
- Run the Bases Fridays – Kids will have the opportunity to run the bases on the field every Friday after the game.
- Kid PA Announcers – Attending kids will have the opportunity to announce the Pitt lineup during one half inning.
- Foul Ball Return – Every fan that returns a foul ball to the press box will receive a free candy bar.
- Postgame Autographs – Fans will have the opportunity to receive postgame autographs from the team for every Saturday and Sunday home game (exception: May 3)
- Workscape Strikeout Donation – For every Pitt strikeout at home, Workscape will donate $20 to the Special Olympics Pennsylvania.
- Happy Hour Friday – The concession stand will have 50% off domestic beers from the time gates open until first pitch during every Friday home game.

The Panther Ticket Office announced in February the transition to a free admission model for all Pitt softball games during the 2025 season. Pitt softball fans will be able to attend all home games for FREE at Vartabedian Field on a first come, first serve basis.
