Atlanta, GA – The Pitt Panthers lost game two at Georgia Tech on Saturday, 11-1 in seven innings.

AJ Nessler extended his hitting streak to 12 games with his single in the third inning. Ryan Zuckerman drove in Pitt's only run today on an RBI double down the third base line. Zuckerman and Cantwell are tied for the team-lead in doubles with nine each.
Lorenzo Carrier, Gavin Miller and Caden Dulin each singled as well. With Carrier's single and two walks, he and Zuckerman have now reached base safely in all 17 games this season.
The Panthers loaded the bases in the bottom of the first inning with singles by Luke Cantwell and Lorenzo Carrier, and then a walk by Jayden Melendez. The Yellow Jackets would however escape the inning without allowing a Pitt base runner to cross home.
Georgia Tech tacked on an unearned run in the bottom of the first and led 1-0 after one.
AJ Nessler led off the top of the third inning with a single through the right side as he extended his team-long hitting streak to 12 games. After Pitt hit into a double play, Luke Cantwell ripped a two-out double down the first base line for his second hit of the afternoon. Lorenzo Carrier walked, and Pitt had runners at first and second. Jayden Melendez lifted a 1-0 fastball to the warning track that fell just short of the wall to end the inning and the threat.
The Yellow Jackets added one more run in the bottom half of the third, extending their lead to two. They would score three runs in the fifth and two runs in the sixth as they now led 7-0.
Pitt scored one run on three hits in the top of the seventh inning as they got on the board for the first time on Saturday.
