Mosher, Stout Named PNC Achievers of the Week

PITTSBURGH – Volleyball's Brooke Mosher and wrestling's Mac Stout have been named Pitt's PNC Achievers of the Week for their standout performances over the past week.
Mosher totaled 35 assists, eight digs, two aces, a block and a kill in Pitt's sweep of Minnesota in the regional semifinal. She followed with 47 assists to set the Panthers to a .349 team hitting percentage in a win over Purdue, adding seven digs, four blocks, four kills and three aces to help Pitt advance to its fifth consecutive national semifinal. Her 47 assists rank fifth in program history for an NCAA Tournament match, and she earned a spot on the Pittsburgh Regional All-Tournament Team for her performances.
No. 11 Stout helped the Panthers to a 35-3 road victory over Maryland at Schanwald Pavilion Saturday afternoon. Stout battled back after surrendering and early takedown to No. 15 Branson John at 197 pounds. Stout tied the bout 4-4 in the third period and got two takedowns in the final 1:30 to secure the 11-6 win.
