PITTSBURGH – Jordyn Dailey of volleyball and Miguel Bertran of men's soccer have been tabbed as the PNC Achievers of the Week.
Jordyn Dailey had 12 blocks as No. 2 Pitt swept weekend road matches at Georgia Tech and at Clemson. Dailey played only the third set against Georgia Tech but piled up five blocks in that frame. She then added seven blocks in the sweep over Clemson, just one shy of her career-best. Dailey now averages 1.50 blocks per set, second-best on the team.
Miguel Bertran scored his third goal of the season in Friday night's 2-0 victory over Boston College. Bertran found the back of the net with less than 10 seconds remaining to double Pitt's lead and secure the win. The junior has started all 15 matches this season, recording three goals and three assists for nine points.
