PITTSBURGH – Redshirt seniors Bre Kelley and Brooke Mosher have been chosen in the 2025 Major League Volleyball Draft on Monday. Kelley was drafted number six overall in the first round by the reigning champion Orlando Valkyries, and Brooke Mosher went in the second round as the 15th pick by the Omaha Supernovas. Kelley will be joining Pitt libero great Emmy Klika in Orlando.
Kelley has been a part of two ACC Championship and Final Four teams in back-to-back years. She was named an AVCA Second Team All-American, AVCA East Coast Region Team member and a First Team All-ACC performer last season. She is tied for second in program history for most block assists in a single season during the rally scoring era with 144 in 2024. Kelley also broke the ACC and Pitt record with a blistering .497 hitting clip last season. She was named to the coveted AVCA National Player of the Year Watch List this season and notched ACC Defensive Player of the Week honors after impressive performances against Pepperdine and Jacksonville. Her 1.49 blocks per set this season is 12th nationally and second in the ACC.
Mosher recently recorded her 3,000th career assist against Cal and is a three-time ACC Setter of the Week honoree. Currently, Mosher is leading Pitt to a .309 team hitting percentage, good for sixth in the nation and is averaging a personal-best 9.79 assists per set. She notched a career-best 60 assists in the five-set win over rival Louisville earlier this season, the most assists in a match by a Panther since Kamalani Akeo in 2017.
The Pro Volleyball Federation (PVF) got renamed to Major League Volleyball (MLV) through a merger that was announced on August 5, 2025, with the new combined league set to begin play in January 2026.
