
Olivia Babcock Earns Third ACC Offensive Player of the Week Award

PITTSBURGH – Olivia Babcock earned her third ACC Offensive Player of the Week award of the season on Monday, announced by the conference office. The reigning AVCA National Player of the Year averaged a conference best 6.94 points per set, 6.00 kills per set, a team-high 3.13 digs per set and 1.38 blocks per set while hitting .455 this past weekend.
Babcock recorded a season-high 30 kills on a blistering .519 hitting percentage from the right side with only three errors on 52 swings against No. 18 Miami on Friday night. She added a match-high 14 digs, five blocks and two aces to round out her stat line. This marked her third 30+ kill match of her career. She followed that performance up with another dominant double-double of 18 kills, 11 digs and tied the match high with six blocks against Florida State. She hit .361 on the afternoon and had seven more kills than the next closest kill getter.
The No. 6 Panthers continue their road swing with Notre Dame on Friday night at 6:30 p.m. and rival No. 4 Louisville on Sunday at 1 p.m. The matches can be streamed on ACCNX and ESPN, respectively.
