
Pitt Swimming & Diving Team Announces 2024-25 Schedule

PITTSBURGH –The University of Pittsburgh Swim and Dive Team unveiled its schedule for the 2024-2025 season, Wednesday afternoon. Pitt will host three home meets at Trees Pool this season against Georgia Tech, West Virginia, George Washington, and Ohio State.
Season Highlights:
- Saturday, October 5: The Panthers start the season with the CMU Relay Meet, a fun swimming exclusive event that sets the tone for the year.
- Fri-Sat, October 25-26: The team will travel to face in-state rival Penn State, engaging in a two-day meet that highlights their early-season form.
- Saturday, November 2: Pitt will host Georgia Tech in a key home event at Trees Pool, offering fans a chance to see the Panthers in action on campus.
- Thur-Sat, November 14-16: Divers will compete at the Texas Diving Invitational, showcasing their talents in a premier event.
- Wed-Fri, November 20-22: The Pitt swimmers will take part in the Texas Invitational, a mid-season meet set to showcase progress and fine tune their performances as they gear up for the championship phase of the season.
- Sun-Sun, December 7-December 15: The diving team will head to the Diving Winter Nationals, rounding off the year with high-level competition.
- Fri-Sat, January 10-11: Pitt returns home to host West Virginia and George Washington in back-to-back meets, marking key events in the Panther's season and offering fans two exciting days of competitive action.
- Sat, January 25: The team will travel out west to battle against Southern Methodist University, and the University of Utah.
- Saturday, February 1 (Senior Day Meet): The '23-'24 ranked Ohio State will visit Trees Pool to close out the 24-25 regular season schedule, a key highlight in the Panthers' winter season and a last chance to cheer at home for our seniors.
- Fri-Sun, February 14-16: The championship season kicks off with the OSU Winter Invite, where the team competes for seasons bests.
- Tues-Sat, February 18-22: The Panthers will compete at the ACC Championships in Greensboro, NC, aiming to excel in conference competition and face head-to-head with the best in the country.
- Mon-Wed, March 10-12: The NCAA Diving Zones at Rutgers, NJ will be crucial for divers looking to qualify and represent Pitt at the NCAA championships later that month.
- Wed-Sat, March 19-22: The Women's NCAA Championships in Federal Way, WA will showcase the top female swimmers and divers in the country.
- Wed-Sat, March 26-29: The Men's NCAA Championships in Federal Way, WA will close out the season with an elite-level competition for the men's team.
Swimming Head Coach Chase Kreitler, starting his third season with the Panthers, will look to build on the successes of last season, with a strong roster ready to make a mark. In 2023-24, his team has shattered program records with multiple athletes earning national recognition.
Diving Head Coach Katie Kasprzak, entering her eighth season with the Panthers, is thrilled to continue building on last season's success. In 2023-24, Kasprzak was honored as the ACC Men's Diving Coach of the Year, making history as the first female coach to receive an ACC Coach of the Year accolade in either men's or women's swimming and diving.
The Panthers will be returning a number of key contributors from last season, including the reigning ACC Men's Diver of the Year and 2024 Men's Diving ACC Champion (3M and Platform), Cameron Cash.
