PITTSBURGH – Men's Soccer's Lasse Dahl and Women's Soccer's Sarah Schupansky were named this week's PNC Achievers of the Week.
Freshman forward Lasse Dahl tallied two assists in Pitt's come-from-behind victory over No. 22 SMU on Saturday. After facing a 1-0 halftime deficit, the No. 8-ranked Panthers tallied three goals over the final 35 minutes of action, to improve to 4-1 on the year. Through five matches, Dahl leads the ACC and ranks fifth nationally in assists with four.
Senior Sarah Schupansky had a stellar performance this past weekend – racking up 10 points in the past two games. In the 6-1 victory over Dartmouth on Thursday, Schupansky produced four assists and a goal to total six points in just 75 minutes of play. The forward wasn't done reeling in the points. In the 7-0 blowout against Mercyhurst, Schupansky celebrated her Senior Day by earning four more points with her goal and two assists while only appearing on the pitch for 25 minutes. Her efforts also secured her the No. 1 spot in the nation for total assists (13) and assists per game (1.50). The senior is now just one assist shy of matching her own school record for most assists earned in a single season.
