
Pitt Adds Transfer Camryn Murphy

PITTSBURGH – Pitt continued to add to its 2025 roster with the signing of Division II All-American transfer Camryn Murphy. A Shaler High School product, Murphy played the last two seasons at Seton Hill where she was a career .363 hitter with 94 RBI and 25 home runs.
"We are thrilled to welcome Camryn to the Pitt Softball Family," said head coach Jenny Allard. "Camryn will bring defensive depth to our outfield and offensive competitiveness in our line-up. She also brings local Pittsburgh pride, and we are glad she can finish her career at Pitt.
Murphy is coming off a successful 2024 season with the Griffins, earning second team D2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-American Honors, D2CCA First-Team All-Region honors and National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region Honors.
The primary outfielder hit .402 with 18 doubles, three triples, 16 home runs, 66 RBI, drew 24 walks and stole 18 bases during the 2024 season. Murphy led the PSAC and ranked 16th in Division II with 66 RBI.
