Pitt Earns ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award

PITTSBURGH - The Pitt baseball program earned the American Baseball Coaches Association Team Academic Excellence Award, the organization announced this week.
Teams from every level of college and high school baseball were honored with this year's award, which highlights programs coached by ABCA members that posted a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale for the cumulative 2023-24 academic year.
The Panthers finished with a 3.19 cumulative team GPA throughout the 2023-2024 academic year and also earned a program-record 12 selections to the All-ACC Academic Team.
Nearly 350 high school programs and more than 470 collegiate programs were recognized with this year's award.
