PITTSBURGH, PA – The Pitt Lacrosse game previously scheduled for April 2 at 3 PM has been adjusted due to potential weather and is now slated for a 10 AM start at Highmark Stadium. The Panthers and Chippewas meet for the first time in this non-conference matchup Tuesday morning.
Central Michigan holds a 2-10 record so far, with their two victories coming against conference opponents. The Chippewas are led by second year head coach Emilia Ward and make the trip to Pittsburgh to play the Panthers and the Robert Morris Colonials later this week. Two attackers lead the way offensively with over 20 points on the season: Skye DePrado (20G, 3A) and Sadie Hinkle (14G, 7 A). Goalie Alexa Martel has made 130 saves in the net and holds a .432 save percentage.
The Panthers are led points wise by a trio of attackers: Jenna Hendrickson (26G, 8A), Sydney Naylor (24G, 5A) and Ava Washington (22G, 3A). Freshman defender has put together a strong rookie campaign with 16 caused turnovers and 18 ground balls to lead the team. Goalie Audrey Moran is coming off of her fifth game of the year with at least 10 saves and has made 84 in total on the season.
After one game from the friendly confines of Highmark Stadium, Pitt hits the road once again as they travel to face No. 3 Syracuse in New York Saturday. Follow all the Pitt Lacrosse action 24/7 on Instagram and X: @Pitt_WLAX.
