Pitt Looks for Road Win in Happy Valley

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA - The Panthers head to central Pennsylvania to face the Penn State Nittany Lions in a non-conference matchup Tuesday. The game is set for a 4 PM start at Panzer Stadium on the Penn State campus.
This will be the third meeting in three years for the PA programs. Penn State has walked away with two wins, 15-12 last year and 15-7 in 2022. The Nittany Lions hold a 1-1 record and are led on offense by senior Kristin O'Neill who has seven goals and an assist. Freshman Sydney Manning has made the two starts in the net with 12 saves and a .444 save percentage.
Longtime coach Missy Doherty leads PSU as they sit at No. 22 in the IL Women/IWLCA national polls that were released Monday afternoon.
Jenna Hendrickson (6G) and Sydney Naylor (5G) have paced the Pitt attack and graduate goalie Audrey Moran anchors the defense (16S, .500 save percentage). The two primary draw takers (Jill Fenech and Maggie Long) and draw circle players (Emily Coughlin and Maureen McNierney) have recorded 25 draw controls collectively to this point.
