PITTSBURGH—The 22nd-ranked Pitt wrestling team returns home this Friday night at 7 p.m. to welcome No. 13 Virginia Tech for a crucial Atlantic Coast Conference dual and the first of three consecutive matches at the Fitzgerald Field House to conclude the 2023-24 regular season.
The Panthers (8-7, 1-2 ACC) upended the Hokies (8-3, 3-0 ACC) in Blacksburg last season, 26-12, and will look for a similar result in Pittsburgh this year. Friday's dual will be streamed on the ESPN app via ACCNX by logging in with a cable subscription or streaming service that includes the ACC Network.
The first 200 Pitt students will receive a free #PINZBURGH trucker hat. Fans over the age of 21 can also take advantage of the 50% off domestic beers happy hour at the Fitz on Friday before the match.

Pitt's projected lineup features seven ranked wrestlers, including No. 15 Cole Matthews at 141 pounds, the reigning and three-time ACC Wrestler of the Week. No. 9 Reece Heller at 184 pounds, his brother No. 13 Holden Heller at 165 pounds, No. 16 Mac Stout at 197 and No. 18 Luca Augustine at 174 are also ranked in the top 20 of their respective weight classes for the Panthers.
No. 23 Vinnie Santaniello at 133 pounds and No. 29 Finn Solomon at 149 are also ranked from Pitt, who will meet a VT squad with nine ranked wrestlers, including three in the top-five at 125, 149 and 174.
Keith Gavin's team leads the all-time series with Virginia Tech, 13-7, in what has been a consistently competitive and exciting dual matchup in the ACC in recent seasons as well.
