
Angelina Messina Competes at Short Course World Championships in Budapest

PITTSBURGH – Pitt's Angelina Messina competed at the Short Course World Championships in Budapest this past week.
The junior swimmer represented Laos in her first time competing at a World Championships. She competed amongst the world's best, including world record holders in the breaststroke events.
Messina finished 35th in the Women's 200m Breaststroke with a personal best time of 2:32.55. She would attain another another personal best time in the Women's 100m Breaststroke, finishing with a time of 1:09.95 and placing 49th.
Looking Ahead
The Panthers return to competition after the new year as they host West Virginia and George Washington at Trees Pool on Friday, January 10th and Saturday, January 11th. That will also be Pitt's Alumni Weekend as they will welcome any and all Forever Panthers back to Trees Pool.
