Panthers Announce 2025 Schedule

PITTSBURGH – The University of Pittsburgh softball program announced its schedule for the upcoming 2025 season. The Panthers will begin the campaign at the NFCA Division I Leadoff Classic, Feb. 7, with a doubleheader against Kentucky and Morgan State.
Pitt is one of 17 programs participating in the NFCA Classic and will make their second appearance in the classic after participating in the tournament during the 2023 season. The Panthers will play five games over the three-day tournament, including facing off against Tennessee to close out tournament play on Feb. 9.
Pitt will compete in three more tournaments to kick off the season, playing in the University of Houston Tournament (Feb. 14-16), UCF Space U Classic (Feb. 20-22), and will travel out to the West Coast for the Long Beach State Tournament (Feb. 28-March 2).
The Panthers open conference play with back-to-back road series at North Carolina (March 7-9) and at Florida State (March 14-16). Pitt will play one more non-conference game against in-state rival Penn State (March 18) in University Park before returning to Pittsburgh.
Pitt will play 27 games on the road before returning to Vartabedian Field for their home-opener against Georgia Tech (March 21-23). The home conference slate includes Duke (April 11-13), Virginia Tech (April 17-19), and Louisville (May 1-3). Pitt will also host Ohio State (April 9), Saint Francis (April 22), and Robert Morris (April 29) at Vartabedian Field for non-conference match ups.
The Panthers travel to Boston College (March 28-30) and Notre Dame (April 4-6) for conference series and will play five non-conference games on the road. The non-conference road slate also consists of single games with Marshall (March 25) and Robert Morris (April 1). The Panthers will travel to the University of Minnesota to play two games against the Golden Gophers and a neutral site game against North Dakota (March 25-26).
