Pitt’s Osorio Mendoza Wins Two Golds, One Silver at South American Games

PITTSBURGH - Pitt's Mariana Osorio Mendoza won three medals, including two golds, at the South American Games this past week.
The diver represented her home country of Colombia, winning a gold in the Individual Platform, gold in the Mixed Synchro Platform and silver in the Synchro Platform.
As a freshman at Pitt last season, she posted the second highest score for a women's platform dive in Pitt history (296.48) in their meet against Minnesota. Osorio Mendoza would also break the Princeton Pool record on Platform with her first overall finish of 300.85.
She would finish 11th (224.90) overall on Platform at the ACC Championships and 30th overall (230.35) on Platform at the 2024 NCAA Championships.
Osorio Mendoza qualified for and will compete at the Junior World Championships in Brazil later this year.
