Pitt Softball Announces Fall Schedule Dates

PITTSBURGH – The University of Pittsburgh softball head coach Jenny Allard announced the 2023 fall schedule, Wednesday afternoon. The Panthers will have three play dates in October, including hosting Saint Francis and Davis & Elkins at Vartabedian Field.
Pitt will open its fall schedule with a road doubleheader at Kent State (Oct. 1 – noon) and will return to Pittsburgh to host Saint Francis (Oct. 7 – 3:30 p.m.) in a doubleheader at Vartabedian Field. The Panthers will close out the fall season the following week, hosting Davis & Elkins (Oct. 15 – 1 p.m.) in a single 12-inning game.
The second game of each doubleheader will begin 30 minutes after the completion of the first game. All fall games at Vartabedian Field are open to the public and free of charge.
Pitt added 11 newcomers to the 2024 roster, including six transfers consisting of outfielder Alena Ball (George Mason), infielder Caroline Deem (Massachusetts), catcher KK Esparza (Ole Miss), infielder Desirae Martinez (Bethune-Cookman), pitcher Kyra Pittman (Maryland), and pitcher Olivia Stefanoni (Akron).
