
Mirkovic Tabbed Preseason Second Team All-America By College Soccer News

PITTSBURGH – University of Pittsburgh senior midfielder Filip Mirkovic continued to rack up the preseason honors as he was named to the College Soccer News Preseason All-America Second Team.
Mirkovic has now earned a plethora of recognitions including Hermann Trophy Watch List, United Soccer Coaches Midfield Watch List, ACC Preseason Watch List and Top Drawer Soccer Preseason Top-100 Player.
One of the best players in the country, Mirkovic, led the ACC and ranked sixth in the NCAA with 12 assists last season while leading the Panthers to their second College Cup appearance in program history. His 12 assists also set the Panthers' single season record for assists while his 18 points ranked third on the squad. The junior was named First Team All-ACC and All-South Region for his strong play a season ago.
A great facilitator in the midfield for Pitt, Mirkovic has stamped his name all over the Panthers record book as he currently ranks fourth in program history in total assists (19) and assists per game (0.32) while ranking seventh in points per game (0.63).
