Panthers in the Pros: 15 Panthers Currently Playing for MLB Organizations

PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- The Panthers have 15 former players who are currently playing for MLB organizations.
The program has five players in Triple-A, three players in Double-A, four players in High-A, one player in Single-A and one player in Rookie Ball. Recent Reds' draft pick Dylan Simmons has yet to be assigned to a team.
Blair Calvo, who started his season in Triple-A for the Albuquerque Isotopes (Colorado Rockies Organization), was called up to the Big Leagues on May 30th to make his Major League debut for the Rockies. He threw a 1-2-3 inning in relief as he got Evan Longoria to ground out to end the inning. He was traded to the Detroit Tigers' organization and is currently pitching for their Triple-A affiliate Toledo Mud Hens.
Hobie Harris made the Washington Nationals' opening day roster and appeared in 16 games for them this season. He is currently playing for their Triple-A affiliate Rochester Red Wings.
