Waldrum Set to Lead Nigeria Super Falcons in 2023 Women’s World Cup

Incoming freshman, Debora Ajibola Abiodun will compete on Nigerian National Team
PITTSBURGH – The University of Pittsburgh women's soccer head coach Randy Waldrum is set to lead the Nigeria Super Falcons in the 2023 Women's World Cup along with incoming freshman, Debora Ajibola Agiodun.
Waldrum will be pulling double-duty as he continues to guide the Panthers into his sixth season, while also leading the Nigerian National Team in the 2023 Women's World Cup.
Incoming freshman midfielder Abiodun will also be putting in overtime as she makes her World Cup debut competing as a Super Falcon while also joining the Panthers in the fall.
The Super Falcons are slated to begin their Women's World Cup quest on Wednesday, July 20th as they take on the Canadian National Team. Next, they will go head-to-head against Australia on Friday, July 27th. Waldrum will then lead the Super Falcons along with Abiodun to face off the Republic of Ireland on Monday, July 31st in hopes to make it to the knockout stages.
