Jansen Qualifies for 2024 Olympic Trials at Phillips 66 National Championships

INDIANAPOLIS – Pitt rising sophomore Claire Jansen qualified for the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials in the 100 Back with a time of 1:01.80 LCM at the Phillips 66 National Championships at the Indiana University Natatorium, Friday morning.
Jansen is the third member of the Pitt swimming and diving team to qualify for the Olympic Trials this year, joining divers Cameron Cash and Dylan Reed.
The Naperville, IL, native had a breakout freshman season with the Panthers, becoming the first freshman swimmer to swim at the NCAA Championships since 2006 and breaking two individual school records in the 50 Back (24.42) and 100 Back (52.33). Jansen was also a member of the 200 free relay team (1:29.18), 200-medley relay team (1:36.68) and 400 medley relay team (3:36.54) that broke school records at the ACC Championships.
