Panthers Wrapped Up A Solid Weekend At Florida Relays

Gainesville, FL— The Pitt Track & Field program wrapped up Florida Relays on Saturday. The weekend saw multiple personal-bests and top-10 marks in the Pitt record book.
"This was a solid weekend for the group. Everyone was able to leave here with a positive take away and walk away from Florida Relays with things to build upon. I'm excited for our future," said sprints coach Tevin Hester.
Friday

Friday
- In the women's hammer throw, Foluke Olujide-Ajibade recorded a fifth-place finish with a mark of 59.16m. Niya Crawford clutched 14th place with a mark of 59.16m. Daniel Amaya recorded a personal-best to notch tenth place on the men's side with a mark of 61.78m.
- Ilse Steigenga claimed fourth place in the women's long jump with a mark of 6.14m. Steigenga is currently sixth-best in program history for women's outdoor long jump. On the men's side, Clement Campbell took home a first-place finish with a mark of 7.42m. Sacha Quequin placed tenth with a mark of 7.02m. Quequin recorded the tenth-best mark in program history.
- On the track, Imani Clark placed tenth in the women's 200m with a time of 23.37. Clark sits at second-best in program history. Aleksandra Stoilova notched 16th place with a time of 23.58 to secure the third-best time in program history. On the men's side, Nigel Hussey recorded a tenth-place finish with a time of 20.85. Hussey is currently fourth-best in program history.
- Devin Nugent earned a fourth-place finish in the men's 400m hurdles with a time of 51.57. Nugent sits at sixth-best in program history. Matt Thompson placed tenth with a time of 53.10. On the women's side, Mackenzie Sullivan finished with a time of 1:01.70 to claim 19th place.
- In the men's discuss throw, Otoniel Badjana earned fifth place with a mark of 48.00m. He also claimed second-place in shot put with a mark of 16.78m to secure the second-best mark in program history.
- Lydia Bottelier finished 3rd place in the women's college high jump invite with a mark of 1.75m.
- In the women's high jump, Eva Baldursdottir recorded a first-place finish with a mark of 1.74, while Alesia Rengle secured second-place.
- In the men's triple jump, Uri Arnon took home seventh place with a mark of 14.64.
- On the track, Folake Olujide-Ajibade claimed 21st place with a time of 14.04.
- In the women's 4x100m relay finals, Aleksandra Stoilova, Imani Clark, Ilse Steigenga, and Nikki Scherer finished sixth with a time of 44.84.
- In the men's 100m, Nigel Hussey claimed 18th place with a time of 10.50m in the men's 100m. He currently fifth-best in program history. Darren McQueen and Clement Campbell notched 22nd and 23rd place with a time 10.56. McQueen and Campbell are tied for 8th best in program history.
- Success Duruzor placed 16th with a time of 54.02 in the women's 400m. Duruzor is currently ninth-best in program history. On the men's side, Devin Nugent secured 20th place with a time of 47.69.
- In the women's 100m, Imani Clark claimed 14th place with a time of 11.65. She is currently tied for sixth-best in program history. Aleksandra Stoilova placed 15th with a time of 11.68 and sits at eighth best in program history
- The Panthers finished Florida Relays with a first-place finish in the women's 4x400m. Bottelier, Clark, Duruzor, and Johnson completed the race with a time of 41.80.
