The Most Athletes to be Named CSCAA All-Americans since 2001
RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Pittsburgh men's swimming and diving team had five individuals earn second team All-American honors, announced by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).
Marcin Goraj (400 Medley Relay), Krzysztof Radziszewski (400 Medley Relay), Dylan Reed (1 mtr), Dominic Toledo (400 Medley Relay) and Cooper Van der Laan (100 Breast, 400 Medley Relay) all earned second team honors.
The five individuals are the most to be named CSCAA All-American honors since four relays earned CSCAA All-American Honorable Mention honors in 2001.
This is the second CSCAA All-American honor for Van der Laan, as the Gold Coast, Australia, native was named a CSCAA First-Team All-American in the 100-yard breaststroke in 2021.
Awards are determined by a nationwide vote of CSCAA-member Division I head swimming coaches and diving coaches. All-Americans are selected on the basis of their finish at the NCAA Championships and a team's current membership with the CSCAA. Only student-athletes who competed in their championship finals are eligible for All-America Honors. NCAA relays & individuals must score in the top 8 to earn first-team honors while those who finish ninth through sixteenth earn second-team honors.
