
The Panthers Return to Louisville for ACC Championships

PITTSBURGH- Pitt Track and field will return to Louisville, Ky for the Atlantic Coast Conference Championships on Feb. 23- Feb. 25 hosted by the University of Louisville at the Norton Healthcare Sports and Learning Center.
The meet will commence Thursday morning at 11 a.m. with the men's heptathlon. The track events are scheduled to begin at 4:05 p.m. The meet will recommence on Friday morning at 11 a.m. The field events will start at 1 p.m. and track events will kick off at 3:15 p.m. The final day of competition will begin on the field at 11 a.m. with the women's triple jump. On the track, finals will get underway at 12 p.m.
"After over twenty weeks of preparation, we're excited to get the ACC championship meet started. All the necessary work leading up to the meet has already been completed," head coach Alonzo Webb stated. "All that's left now is to prepare mentally for a great competition and to compete at a high level."

LAST TIME OUT:
- Foluke Olujide-Ajibade secured a first-place finish in the women's weight throw with a mark of 18.57m (60' 11").
- Jack Miller, Raymond Oriakhi, Jack Balick, and Finn Walsh collected a first-place finish in the men's distance medley with a time of 9:58.91.
- In the men's mile, Finn Walsh recorded a first-place finish with a time of 4:09.79 and set a faculty record. Luke Simpson crossed the finish line in second with a time of 4:15.38.
- In the women's 800m, Emily Brown notched first place with a time of 2:15.81 and set a facility record.
