Game Storylines
• A national ESPN Thursday night spotlight will shine on Acrisure Stadium when Pitt hosts ACC foe Boston College. This will be the Panthers' 27th all-time appearance on ESPN's Thursday package.
• Pitt and Boston College have met 32 prior times and the Panthers hold a 17-15 series edge.
• The Eagles, however, have won each of the past two encounters, most recently claiming a 31-30 overtime victory in 2020 on Chestnut Hill.
• This will be just the fourth ACC encounter between the two schools. Pitt and Boston College will play annually beginning in 2024 as a "protected matchup" in the ACC's new scheduling model.
• Eight of the past 12 games in the series have been decided by single digits.
• Boston College head coach Jeff Hafley spent five seasons on Dave Wannstedt's Pitt coaching staff, first as a defensive graduate assistant (2006-07) and then as defensive backs coach (2008-10).
