Fisher Announces 2024 Recruiting Class

PITTSBURGH – Head Coach Dan Fisher and Pitt Volleyball are excited to announce the addition of Ryla Jones, Mallorie Meyer and Kiana Dinn to the 2024 recruiting class. The trio hail from three different states and will look to make an impact next season.
"We're really excited to announce these three signings, and we feel strongly that with this class we are going to able to continue to compete for ACC and National Championships," says Fisher. "They will help us with our on-court success. In addition, they are great cultural fits and people that we are going to enjoy being around every day."
Ryla Jones | Fort Washington, MD | Flint Hill School | 6'2 | Middle Blocker | Metro American Volleyball Club
Jones is ranked No. 79 according to Prep Dig and is the No. 92 recruit in the nation per Prep Volleyball. She has enjoyed a successful high school and club career, propelling Flint Hill High School to back-to-back Virginia State HS Championships and back-to-back ISL Conference Championships. Jones was named First Team All-State in 2021 and 2022 and First Team ISL in 2021. Jones was also named to the Washington Post Second Team, Florida Girls High School AVCA All-American Watchlist and earned a spot on the Prep Volleyball Top 100 list.
A presence in the middle for Metro American Volleyball Club, Jones notched 2022 Under Armour Next Dallas Camp MVP honors, was named a Prep Volleyball 17U All-American, Capitol Hill Classic Best Blocker and Classic Prep Volleyball Top 100. Jones has also been consistent with USA Volleyball, being a Team USA National Team Development Program athlete for the last five years.

Coach Fisher on Ryla - "Ryla is one of the top middle blocker prospects in the country. She is fast laterally, has a strong arm and is a natural leader. We feel like she will be able to compete right away. "

Mallorie Meyer | Roca, Nebraska | Lincoln East | 5'6 | Libero/DS | VC Nebraska
A native of Roca, Nebraska, Mallorie has made a tremendous impact on Norris High School, helping the team advance to the state championship her sophomore and junior year. She broke the Class B school record for aces her junior year, accumulated more than 1,000 digs and has three varsity letters to her name.
At VC Nebraska, Mallorie has been named an AAU All-American, AAU National Champion, and has been named to the JVA Watchlist, Team Nebraska Adrenaline and earned a spot at the Under Armour camp.
"I chose Pitt because they really emphasize what having a good team culture is like. The high expectations they set allows them to push themselves to the highest limits. The coaches and girls truly care about you and have made me feel so welcome."
Coach Fisher on Mallorie – "Mallorie has one of the most natural passing touches we have seen in a long time. We're excited to have her solidify our back court. She comes from a great volleyball state and has been coached by some of the best club coaches in the country. Mallorie is a good setter, a strong server and a great passer."

Kiana Dinn | Union, Kentucky | Ryle High School | 5'9 | Setter/Right Side | NKYVC
Dinn has enjoyed a decorative career in both high school and club. She has been named Kentucky 33rd District MVP twice, Kentucky 9th region All-Tournament and has been honored by Cincinnati Enquirer three times, as a First Team member, Top Setters list, Northern Kentucky Athletic Conference All-Star Team and Player of the Week.
At Tri-State Elite, Dinn was named to the Class of 2024 JVA Watch List and earned 2022 Prep Volleyball Academic All-American accolades. In addition, she was a 2021 AVCA Phenom and Prep Volleyball All-American Special Mention and the 2022 MVP of the UA Elite Volleyball Invite Only Jordan Thompson.
The 2022 Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Second Team All-State member reached the 1,000 assists milestone in her senior season and was named KVCA Second Team All-State and AVCA Best and Brightest First Team.
"I chose Pitt because it felt like family, especially with all the girls and coaches. They were all super welcoming. They have also built a high-level volleyball program that I wanted to be part of. Pitt is also known for their remarkable academic programs which really stuck out to me, mainly their health professions and biomedical sciences. I've always enjoyed watching Pitt volleyball and am excited to get the play for the coaches!"
Coach Fisher on Kiana – "We recruited Kiana primarily as a setter, but she is an incredible all-around athlete. We think she is one of the hidden gems in this class, and Pitt fans are going to be really excited by her athleticism."
