PITTSBURGH – Jamarius Burton was recognized by NCAA March Madness and Andy Katz as the National Player of the Week following a dominating performance in a 76-74 win over No. 25 North Carolina Dec. 30, while Katz's also ranked the Panthers No. 27 in his Power 36 following their 3-0 start to ACC play.
Burton scored a career-high 31 points on 14-of-17 shooting from the field in the win over North Carolina. He converted three three-point plays and added six rebounds as the Panthers moved to 3-0 in the ACC for the first time since the 2015-16 season. The Charlotte, N.C., native made his first seven shots of the second half and had 16 points on 7-of-8 shooting from the field after intermission.

The Panthers' 9-1 record since Nov. 20 is tied for the 10th best in the NCAA in that span.
Pitt (10-4, 3-0 ACC) plays each of its next two games at home before embarking on a three-game road stretch. Tickets for upcoming games at the Petersen Events Center are available HERE.
