Barry Dunning, Jr. Signs Contract With The Portland Trail Blazers

PITTSBURGH – Following the 2026 NBA Draft, former Pitt men's basketball player Barry Dunning, Jr. signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Portland Trail Blazers.
Dunning played the 2025-26 season with Pitt after transferring from South Alabama. He averaged 12.5 points and 5.9 rebounds per game and started 27-of-33 games, including each of the final 27. Dunning shot 46.6 percent from the field and 34.5 percent from three-point range. He also had a team-best 28 blocked shots.
Dunning had a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds against Texas A&M. In ACC play, he had back-to-back double-doubles with 15 points and 12 rebounds in a win at Cal and then 26 points and 10 rebounds against Florida State. In Pitt's win over Stanford in the ACC Tournament, he had 16 points (7-of-10 shooting), eight rebounds, three steals and two blocked shots while playing all 40 minutes.
An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year, non-guaranteed minimum salary contract, which includes an invitation to Summer League, training camp and preseason to compete for a roster spot, a two-way contract or a spot on a team's G League affiliate.
