PITTSBURGH—The University of Pittsburgh No. 20 gymnastics team (3-0, 1-0 EAGL) will travel to West Valley City, UT for the inaugural Wasatch Classic against No. 16 Iowa (2-1), No. 3 California (3-0), and No. 26 Oregon State (1-2) Saturday at 8 p.m. MST at the Maverik Center.

LAST TIME OUT
- Pitt won the Keystone Classic with a score of 195.950, beating Penn State (195.475), UPenn (193.525), and Temple (194.225). This was a new program opening record as they broke their previous home opening record of 192.900.
- Freshman Reyna Garvey earned the first-place title with a score of 9.950 on beam.
- Sophomore Sidney Washington set a new personal record (9.875) – earning the first-place title in vault.
- Sophomore Jordyn Ewing took the second-place title and set a new personal record with her score of 9.925.
SCOUTING OREGON STATE
- This is the second year that Oregon State will be competing in the Pac-12 regular season with 17 returning gymnasts and the addition of four freshmen.
- The No. 26 team took third in Session 2 of the Super 16 Presented by Ozone where they scored 195.450 for the night.
- Beam was their best event of the evening, scoring a 49.100 overall. They had four gymnasts finish in the top 10 of the session.
- This will be the second time in program history the Panthers and the Beavs compete, with Oregon State holding a 0-1 edge.
SCOUTING CALIFORNIA
- The Bears opened their season last Saturday at the Super 16 Presented by Ozone where they recorded their best overall score in a season-opening meet (197.475).
- Cal took home the individual title in all four events of the evening and won three of the four events.
- The No. 3 team's eMjae Frazier tied their program record on beam (9.950) and claimed the second-highest score of the night on floor (9.950).
- This will be the third meeting between Pitt and Cal, with the Bears holding a 0-2 lead.
- The Hawkeyes traveled to Las Vegas for the Super 16 Presented by Ozone where they finished behind California and in front of Arizona State and BYU.
- Iowa's senior, Linda Zivat, tied for the vault title with a score of 9.925 alongside two other gymnasts who placed in the top three of beam and floor.
- The No. 16 team set their second-highest season opener score in program history, earning a 196.225.
- This will also be the third meeting between Pitt and Iowa, with the Hawkeyes holding a 0-2 streak.
