Baseball Announces 2022 Fall Schedule

PITTSBURGH - Pitt baseball head coach Mike Bell announced the program's 2022 fall schedule Wednesday. The Panthers will open up fall team practice with an exhibition game against the Ontario Blue Jays on Monday, Sept. 26 at Charles Cost Field and visit Ohio State on Friday, Oct. 14. Pitt wraps up fall practice with the annual three-game Royal & Gold Series Oct. 26-28.
Pitt's matchup against Ontario is set for a 1 p.m. first pitch at Charles Cost Field. First pitch times for the Royal & Gold Series will be announced at a later date. All four games will be open to the public with free admission.
The Panthers are also scheduled to host their MLB Scout Day on Friday, Oct. 21.
Pitt's 2022-23 roster features 17 returners from last year's squad as well as 11 freshmen and 13 transfers.
The Panthers posted 29 victories in 2022 and reached the semifinals of the ACC Tournament for the first time since 2018 by upsetting 7-seed Georgia Tech (12-6) and 2-seed Louisville (6-5) last season. The 29 wins were Pitt's most in a single season since 2018 (29) and tied for the most in a season since joining the ACC in 2014.
