
Noel Named To MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List For Third Straight Season

PITTSBURGH – For the third straight season, senior midfielder Valentin Noel was named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List, as announced Thursday morning by the Missouri Athletic Club and United Soccer Coaches.
The Hermann Trophy, presented annually by the Missouri Athletic Club, is the nation's highest individual honor recognizing the nation's National Player of the Year. Division I coaches who are members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services program vote for the award.
Making the list for the third time, Noel capped his junior campaign with seven goals, five assists and 44 shots en route to earning First Team All-Region and Second Team All-ACC accolades. The Niort, France, native was a 2020 All-American and became the Panthers' first MAC Hermann Trophy finalist after delivering 14 goals, including three game-winning goals, during the Panthers' College Cup run in 2020-21. He has started all 56 games in his career and has 58 points on 24 goals and 10 assists.
The talented midfielder has been named to numerous preseason lists including the United Soccer Coaches Midfielder Watch List, TopDrawerSoccer's Preseason Best XI Team and College Soccer News Preseason All-America Third Team.
