Men's Soccer Earns 2021-22 College Team Academic Award

2021-22 College Team Academic Award Recipients
PITTSBURGH – The Pitt men's soccer team earned the College Team Academic Award as recognition for their exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2021-22 academic year.
A total of 746 soccer teams posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2021-22 academic year. Under the leadership of head coach Jay Vidovich, the Panthers sported a team GPA of 3.16.
Pitt finished the 2021 campaign as the No. 6 team in the country with a 13-5-2 overall record and a 5-2-1 ACC mark while earning its second consecutive trip to the NCAA Elite Eight. It earned a share of the ACC Coastal Division crown for the second consecutive year while outscoring its opposition 10-3 in the NCAA tournament.
The Panthers open the 2022 season with an exhibition match against Robert Morris on Saturday, Aug. 13th. Pitt plays host to Georgetown on Thursday, Aug. 25th, for the first game of the regular season.
