New Backyard Brawl Logo Revealed

PITTSBURGH - Anticipation continues to build up and down I-79 and across the country. The Backyard Brawl, one of college football's oldest and most colorful rivalries, returns this September 1 under the lights at Heinz Field.
Pitt and West Virginia are preparing to clash on the football field for the first time in 11 years. Commemorating the renewal of this classic series is a dynamic new logo revealed today—105 days out from the 105th all-time meeting.
The design will be available on an array of merchandise beginning in August.
The Panthers and Mountaineers will meet in four consecutive seasons from 2022-25. Following a three-year break, the series resumes from 2029-32.
