
Panthers Welcome Cardinals to Highmark Stadium for Senior Day

PITTSBURGH – Pitt returns to Highmark Stadium for their final ACC home matchup Saturday, April 9 against Louisville. Opening draw is set for 12 p.m. with the game streaming via ACC Network Extra.
It's Senior Day for the Panthers, who are 6-7 overall and 0-6 in ACC play after a road defeat last Saturday to 2021 National Runner Up Syracuse. Three graduating Panthers lead the way offensively with four-time All-America selection Paige Petty posting 37 points (30G, 7A), while Madisyn Kittell (17G, 14A) and Carlie Leach (21G, 6A) have collected 31 and 27 points, respectively..
The Pitt defense is anchored by four graduating player, including the ACC leader in saves and ground balls, goalie Paulina DiFatta. Veteran defenders Allyson Trice, Therese Pitman, and Payton Reed have each started all 13 games this season for the Panthers.
Prior to the game, the Panthers will recognize thirteen players that are graduating including: Kittell, Pitman, Leach, Caroline Lederman, Kierin Ratliff-Kailbourne, Reed, Petty, Reilly Reed, Julia Foster, Chloe Jones, DiFatta, Karina Latsko and Trice.
Louisville is 6-7 on the season and 1-4 in conference play. Last time out, they defeated Vanderbilt 15-6. The Cardinals feature junior Maggie Foster, sister of Panther graduate transfer, Julia Foster, and are led by head coach Scott Teeter, who also coaches the Canadian Women's National Team that Pitt Head Coach Emily Boissonneault plays on.
Admission to all Panther home games at Highmark Stadium is free during the 2022 season.
