PITTSBURGH – After a week off, the Pitt track and field team returns to action this weekend at the Virginia Challenge in Charlottesville, VA at Lannigan Field. The Panthers will be in action starting on Thursday night until Saturday afternoon.

- Live updates throughout the meet will also be posted on Twitter by following the Pitt Track & Field account @Pitt_TF_XC.
- Action in Virginia begins Thursday night at 5:00 pm as Daniel Amaya and Noah Walker compete in the hammer throw. Foluke Olujide-Ajibade will compete in the women's hammer throw at 6:30 pm.
- Friday will open up with the men's javelin at 11:45 am and will conclude with the men's 5000m invite at 8:25 pm.
- Pitt will start Saturday action at 12:00 pm with the women's high jump and the women's long jump (heptathlon).
- The meet wraps up around 4:20 pm with the men's 4x400m relay.
- The Panthers distance squad had an impressive weekend at Duke as they were able to collect four top-10 all-time marks and five PR's. Leading the way was senior Evan Addison who notched the third place finish in the 3000m steeplechase with a personal record time of 8:44.50. His time also marked the second best in program history and the third best in the ACC so far this season.
- Three Panthers were able to post personal record and top-10 times in the 5000m run as Ally Brunton cruised to a fifth place finish in the event with a time of 16:29.66, the fourth best time in program history and 10th best in the ACC so far this season. In the same race, Emily Brown posted a 10th place finish with a personal record time of 16:58.17, the 10th best time in program history. On the men's side, Sam Otis posted a massive PR as he collected the sixth place finish in 14:14.05. His time marked the sixth best in program history in the event.
- The lone victory of the weekend for the Panthers came in the pole vault as senior Felix Wolter was able to clear a season-best height of 15'7" (4.75m) to secure his first win of the outdoor season. His mark currently sits as the 12th best in the ACC this season.
- Senior Lonzell Feagin had another big weekend for the Panthers as this time he was able to post a big personal record time in the 100m dash. Feagin took home second in his heat and 13th overall in the talented field as he crossed the finish line in 10.63 seconds which marked the eighth fastest time in program history in the event and the fastest by a Panther since 2015.
- The Panthers return to action next week as they will compete in the historic 126th Penn Relays presented by Toyota.
- Nearly 200 colleges and universities will be competing in the Penn Relays which are set for April 28-30 at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, PA.
