
Pitt Hosts Akron Monday to Conclude Three-Game Homestand

PITTSBURGH – Pitt Lacrosse hosts the Akron Zips Monday, March 28 for a nonconference clash. The opening draw at Highmark Stadium is scheduled for 5 p.m. and will be streamed via ACC Network Extra.
The Panthers are led offensively by four players with 20 or more points on the season, including four-time All-America selection Paige Petty with 32 (26G, 6A), sophomore Kate Elam with 27 (20G, 7A), graduate transfer Madisyn Kittell (16G, 10A), junior Carlie Leach (17G, 3A), and senior Kierin Ratliff-Kailbourne (13G, 7A). Allyson Trice, Therese Pitman, Abby Thorne, and Brittney Villhauer anchor the Pitt defense and have started every game along with goalie Paulina DiFatta who has posted a 11.36 goals against average to go along with 99 saves.
Pitt stands at 5-6 overall and 0-5 in the ACC after falling to #2 Boston College Saturday, 19-12. Kittellscored four goals and Petty scored two and added two assists in the loss. DiFatta recorded 10 saves on the day.
Akron stands at 2-9 on the season and is coming off of a 13-7 loss to MAC conference rival Central Michigan.
Admission is free for all Pitt Lacrosse home games this season.
