
Pitt Primed for 2022 ACC Wrestling Championship

PITTSBURGH—March is finally here for the University of Pittsburgh wrestling program, meaning the Panthers are primed to compete for medals beginning with the 2022 ACC Wrestling Championship this Sunday, March 6 at Virginia's John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, Va.
Tickets are on sale now for Sunday's ACC wrestling action, and all seats are general admission.
IMPORTANT: All attendees 12 years of age and older are required to provide proof of vaccination or of a negative COVID-19 test result for entry. All attendees must wear a mask while inside John Paul Jones Arena except when they are actively eating or drinking.
First-round matches will begin at 11 a.m. on ACC Network Extra and the ESPN app, with wrestling continuing through the finals, which will start at 7 p.m. live on the ACC Network.
The ACC has been awarded a league-record 39 allocations to the 2022 NCAA Wrestling Championships, which will be held from March 17-19 in Detroit's Little Caesars Arena. The top three finishers in every ACC weight class will qualify for nationals, with 141, 149, 174 receiving four bids each and 133, 157 and 184 garnering five automatic trips to the NCAA tournament.
