Panthers Host Siena in Friday Night Clash

PITTSBURGH – The inaugural season of Pitt Lacrosse continues Friday, Feb. 18 at Highmark Stadium when the Panthers host Siena College. The opening draw is set for 5 p.m. with the game being streamed via ACC Network Extra.

Pitt started the season in dramatic fashion, with a 9-8 sudden victory overtime win over crosstown foe Duquesne last Friday. Kierin Ratliff-Kailbourne led the Panthers with four goals, including the historic first goal in Pitt Lacrosse history. Carlie Leach added a pair of goals, including the game-winner at the 1:58 mark of overtime.

The Panthers played tough defensively last week as Abby Thorne posted three caused turnovers, Therese Pitman and Payton Reed forced two, and goalie Paulina DiFatta collected seven saves.

Pitt plays two this weekend with the game against Siena and Sunday's contest vs. St. Bonaventure.
