Panthers Ready for ACC Championships in Atlanta

ATLANTA, Ga. —The University of Pittsburgh swimming and diving teams arrived at the McAuley Aquatic Center today ahead of the 2022 ACC Championships.

Prelims will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, with finals starting at 4:30p.m. On Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, prelims begin at 10 a.m., with finals at 6 p.m. On Saturday, prelims will begin at 10 a.m., the 1650 Freestyle Finals will be at 3 p.m., followed by the remainder of the event finals at 6 p.m. Live swimming updates are available HERE or on our Twitter, @PITT_SWIM_DIVE.

Seniors Kayla Graham, Stephen Hopta, Madison Nalls, Jacqueline Tinneny, and Cooper Van der Laan are all previous scorers at ACC Championships and look to qualify for NCAAS with strong swims this week. Newcomers Jill Berger, Guy Frimis, Sophie Knepper, Austin Lane, Paul Lerro, Tess Mock, Krzysztof Radziszewski, Sydney Rodriguez, Trent Russano, Janelle Schulz, and Mia Sunseri will debut at ACCs, while many other returners for Pitt will bring more scoring potential.

For the divers, the trio of Amy Read, Claire McDaniels, and Serena Buchwald has led the women throughout the season and could make a huge difference for the Panthers in their efforts this week. On the men's side, Dylan Reed, Josh Parquet, Jackson Salisbury and freshman Cameron Cash who will make his ACC debut will be influential in boosting the Panthers' scores.
