Pitt Wrestlers Set for Midlands Championships

PITTSBURGH—More than a dozen Pitt wrestlers will compete at the prestigious midseason 2022 Ken Kraft Midlands Championships over the next two days in Hoffman Estates, Ill.
Hosted by Northwestern at NOW Arena, the 58th edition of the tournament will bring many of the best collegiate wrestling programs in the country together to test their skills to end the 2022 calendar year.
Here are the Panthers set to compete for Keith Gavin's squad in Illinois over the next two days:
125: Colton Camacho
141: No. 1 Cole Matthews, Ryan Michaels (unattached)
149: Tyler Badgett
157: No. 22 Dazjon Casto, Dan Mancini, Brock McMillen
165: No. 16 Holden Heller
174: Luca Augustine
184: No. 25 Reece Heller, James Lledo
197: Mac Stout
HWT: Jake Slinger, Dayton Pitzer
Action begins at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29 with the opening session on 10 mats and will continue later the same day at 8 p.m. with quarterfinal matches and wrestlebacks.
Wrestling will resume at noon on Friday, Dec. 30 with semifinals and consolations, with placement matches, including all finals, set for 7 p.m. on Friday night at NOW Arena.
