PITTSBURGH – Pitt women's basketball head coach Lance White announced the signing of Hannah Mills-Watson to a National Letter of Intent, Wednesday Morning. Mills-Watson is the third member of the Panthers' 2023 Signing Class.
"Hannah is a strong, physical, 6'4 forward that runs the floor well," said head coach Lance White. "She competes hard on both ends of the floor and has terrific touch around the basket. She is a hardworking, traditional post player who has developed so much in a short period of time. We know her best basketball is ahead of her and we're so excited to welcome Hannah and her family into our program."
Hannah Mills-Watson | 6-5 | Forward | Oshawa, Ontario, Canada | Cairine Wilson Secondary School
The 6-5 forward earned herself a spot on Team Ontario U17 National Team this past summer playing alongside some of the best basketball players in Canada and she held her own. At the U17 Women's National Championships earlier this summer, Mills-Watson played in four games while netting 12 points and seven rebounds in 15 minutes in a win over Alberta and scoring 13 points and three rebounds in a win over Newfoundland & Labrador. She also helped lead Capital Courts Academy to the OSBA title in 2021-22 as they defeated King's Christian Collegiate 65-61 in the championship game.
Mills-Watson joins a Pitt recruiting class that features local standout Jasmine Timmerson and fellow Canadian post player Lauren Rust.
