
Pitt Wrestling to Host Blue-Gold Dual Friday Night

PITTSBURGH—The 2022-23 University of Pittsburgh wrestling team will make its first appearance in front of fans at the Fitzgerald Field House this Friday night with its annual Blue-Gold Dual.
Admission is FREE for all fans to the event, which begins at 7 p.m. Those in attendance will have access to FREE team posters as well as the opportunity to purchase season tickets and concessions.
The Pittsburgh Wrestling Club will also host a FREE clinic before the Blue-Gold Dual beginning at 5 p.m. The clinic is open to all ages youth through high school and will last approximately an hour.
Pending any changes, Pitt's 2022-23 Blue-Gold Dual will consist of more than a dozen individual bouts that will help sixth-year head coach Keith Gavin and his staff set the team's lineup for the season.
Friday will mark the Fitzgerald Field House debut as Panthers for numerous members of Pitt's highly touted 2022 recruiting class, which includes several local standouts and exciting transfers.

Pitt officially begins its wrestling season next weekend with the Clarion Open on Sunday, Nov. 6.
The Panthers will host their home opener at Fitzgerald Field House against Maryland on Friday, Nov. 18 with a 7 p.m. start before welcoming in-state rival Lehigh to Pittsburgh on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m.
Fans can purchase season tickets for Pitt's 2022-23 wrestling home schedule, which also features exciting matchups with West Virginia, Iowa State, North Carolina, Duke and Buffalo at this link.
