Hermanek Adds Gardner as Volunteer Assistant Coach

PITTSBURGH – Head Coach Jodi Hermanek announced the addition of Morgan Gardner as a Volunteer Assistant Coach to the staff today.
"We are excited to add Morgan as a member of our coaching staff," said Hermanek. "Morgan's recent playing successes and vision for the game will be a great asset for our student-athletes."
Gardner comes from Central Michigan, where she was a five-year letter winner who primarily played infield. She batted a career .253 with 144 hits, 59 runs, 76 RBI and 32 extra base hits. She had a career year at the plate in 2021, hitting .345 with 48 hits, 27 runs, 19 RBI and a .475 slugging percentage. Her senior year performance led her to earn NFCA All-Great Lakes Region Third Team honors.
Prior to Central Michigan, Gardner attended Romeo High School in Armada, Mich., where she was named Macomb County Player of the Year in 2015. She received numerous All-District and All-Region accolades as well as All-State Honorable Mention three times her freshman, sophomore and junior seasons.
Gardner graduated from Central Michigan in the spring of 2021 with a B.S. in Business Administration General Management with a minor in Finance.
