Myers Named to All-ACC Academic Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Pitt pitcher Mitch Myers was named to the All-ACC Academic Team, the league announced Thursday.
The junior right-hander was the No. 1 ace for the Panthers this season and earned a selection to the All-ACC Third Team. With eight quality starts in ACC play, Myers posted a 5-5 record with a 1.24 WHIP, 3.21 ERA, a team-high 83 strikeouts to 23 walks and a .249 opposing batting average. He ranked in the conference sixth in ERA and 10th in innings pitched (81.1). An ACC Honor Roll member in 2020, he earned his degree in Health Services this spring with a 3.56 GPA.
Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the team.
