No. 10 Pitt’s ACC Tournament Slate Announced

GREENSBORO, N.C. – No. 10 seed Pitt baseball squares off against No. 6 North Carolina Tuesday at 7 p.m. and No. 3 NC State Thursday at 7 p.m for its two Pool C games in the ACC Tournament at Truist Field in Charlotte, North Carolina, the league announced Sunday.
Each game is slated for an RSN broadcast. A full broadcast listing of channels/stations in every area is to be announced at a later time.
The Panthers are the away team against the Tar Heels while serving as the home squad against the Wolfpack.
The tournament features a pool-play format, leading into a four-team, single-elimination bracket to determine the league champion.
Each team in the four pools play one game against each of the other two opponents Tuesday through Friday (May 25-28). The four teams with the best records within their respective pools advance to Saturday's semifinals, with the winners playing on Sunday in the ACC Championship Game.
Pitt must win both games to advance to the semifinals due to the tiebreaker going to the highest seed in the pool if each of three teams split the two games.
Game times Tuesday through Friday are set for 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday's semifinals are scheduled for 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., while Sunday's championship will begin at noon.
