Fisher Adds All-SEC Outside Hitter
PITTSBURGH – Decorated outside hitter Leketor Member-Meneh will join the Pitt volleyball program as a graduate transfer for the upcoming 2021 season, head coach Dan Fisher announced Monday.
"There are a lot of reasons for our fans to be excited about Leketor [Member-Meneh] joining the team this fall," Fisher said. "She has been one of the best players in the SEC over the last few years. She is a powerful attacker and skilled six-rotation player. In addition, she blew us away with her personality during the recruiting process and is a great fit for our program. We can't wait to have her here in Pittsburgh."
The St. Louis, Mo., native will arrive in Pittsburgh following three seasons played at the University of Missouri (2017-19). During her time as a Tiger she garnered All-SEC honors (2018) in addition to an SEC All-Freshman selection (2017). At the time, she became one of just four Tigers ever to garner SEC All-Freshman honors. Member-Meneh was also honored for her work in the classroom, earning a spot on the 2017-18 First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll.
The outside hitter recorded more than 1,000 points in three years as a Tiger. During her junior season in 2019, she produced three double-doubles, including one against No. 5 Nebraska in the NCAA Tournament, where she totaled 19 kills and 10 digs.
Member-Meneh will have one year of immediate eligibility with the Panthers after earning a bachelor's degree in communication from the University of Missouri.
Member-Meneh will round out a talented group of incoming Panthers for the upcoming 2021 season, including four freshmen: setter Rachel Fairbanks, middle blocker Makayla Jackson, libero Emmy Klika and right side hitter Eliana Posada. More information on the incoming freshmen can be found at PittsburghPanthers.com.
