The Opening Tip
• Pitt (10-11, 6-10 ACC) opens up ACC Tournament play Tuesday, March 9 at the Greensboro Coliseum against 13-seed Miami (8-16, 4-15 ACC). Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. on the ACC Network.
• The Panthers are 6-7 all-time in ACC Tournament play, including a 3-1 mark in first round action. Pitt is 2-2 in the conference tournament under head coach Jeff Capel with a 2-0 mark in opening round contests.

• Justin Champagnie averaged 20.0 points per game on 17-of-30 (.567) shooting from the field in a pair of ACC Tournament contests last season. He scored a Pitt ACC Tournament-record 31 points on 13-of-17 shooting from the field in an opening round win over Wake Forest.
